Bio

Rúchuga, the Argentinian duo comprised of Flor Niemevz and Paulo Peirano, announces the independent release of their debut studio album titled Uniter, available December 6, 2024, on digital platforms. . Alongside the release, they have unveiled the music video for their song ‘Precipitar,’ filmed at the Bauhaus school in Dessau, Germany.

Throughout 2024, Rúchuga has released the singles “La noche indecisa” and “Dispel,” along with “Precipitar (live),” which showcase the duo’s signature sound: ethereal and deep atmospheres, trip-hop reminiscent beats, unconventional harmonic progressions and spiraled melodies. Their music is a fusion of influences like Depeche Mode, Björk, Kate Bush, Massive Attack, Portishead, Charly García, and Spinetta, all within an experimental and playful environment that oscillates between minimalist and baroque styles while remaining within the song format.

After their first meeting in 2009, Rúchuga was established in 2022, serving as an alternative and parallel project to the band Ciprés —active since 2010 with two albums released—, exploring new sounds with synthesizers, programming, and pensive lyrics that invite self-discovery. Additionally, both Flor and Paulo share a university education in various branches of Design, which they leverage in Rúchuga’s creative processes, enhancing the sensory and audiovisual experience of the project.
